xmms ..., XMMS is a multimedia player for unix systems. XMMS stands for X MultiMedia System and can play media files such as MP3, MOD's, WAV and others with the use of Input plugins.
Download xmms from here & saved in /download directory.
Now build XMMS:
cd xmms-1.2.8 ./configure make make install
This will put the binary in /usr/local/bin and plugins in /usr/local/lib/xmms/
