Installing syslog-ng 3.6.1 RPM CentOS 6

To install the syslog-ng 3.6.1 RPM on CentOS 6, download and install following repo:

http://copr.fedoraproject.org/coprs/czanik/syslog-ng36epel6/

Release: EPEL 6
Architecture: i386, x86_64
Description:  syslog-ng 3.6 packages for EPEL6 born from a wild mixture of the current EPEL6 and EPEL7 packages and breaking some of the packaging rules (embedded libraries, binary under /usr/sbin, etc.)

wget http://copr.fedoraproject.org/coprs/czanik/syslog-ng36epel6/repo/epel-6/czanik-syslog-ng36epel6-epel-6.repo

Copy it into your /etc/yum.repos.d/ directory

cp czanik-syslog-ng36epel6-epel-6.repo /etc/yum.repos.d/

Search available syslog-ng packages
yum search syslog-ng
